It's been a while since I've bothered with sound cards, the last one I bought, and still use is an SBLive! MP3. I want to upgrade to something modern, and supported well by Vista (the SBLive works, but only in toe channel mode with no tone controls) but I don't know which. I don't need a $200 card. I see quite a few, but do the new 5.1,6.1,7.1 cards also do 4.1? I can't find information anywhere. Anybody have a card they are happy with in Vista?
